The immediate vicinity to the beach and the sea as well as an unobstructed panoramic view from the balconies and terraces: This is what awaits vacation guests at Haus Seelord. However, this proximity to the beach also means maximum climatic stress on the building. Depending on the season, sandy and salty coastal storms, maximum UV exposure due to beach-typical light reflections in midsummer, or chemically aggressive residues of seagulls damage the concrete structures. Based on this, the Seelord house also showed massive damage to the facade, balconies and terraces after years of use. In the cold January of 2022, the time had finally come: after extensive concrete repair work and a newly installed sloping screed, a well-coordinated team of renovation specialists applied a ^WestWood® Wecryl waterproofing system specially developed for low temperatures.
