The island of Fehmarn has a new observation tower - in the most beautiful location, directly on the Baltic Sea. There, the tower with its steel and wood construction is not only exposed to wind and weather. There is also the danger of spray being carried into the building. For this reason, the steel landings and steel steps were to be given a durable waterproofing with a robust surface including effective slip resistance. The WestWood^® PMMA surface protection system OS 10 - 2.0 was able to meet these extreme requirements - and could be implemented quickly thanks to the short reaction times in the PMMA system structure. In the process, the fleece-reinforced sealed details were securely integrated into the fleece-free processed surfaces. A convincing solution that was also used for other weather protection huts on the island.
